Custom Table Tops
Which Glass Top Suits Your Needs?
There are a great variety of options that go into choosing a custom glass tabletop. A new custom tabletop is the perfect way to give your dining room a new look. You can switch up the shape of your table, anything from rectangle to octagon, or even a customized self-designed shape - you can even expand your seating from 4 to 14. And then there’s your thickness. Do you like a nice thick 3/8ths inch or more of a delicate 1/4th inch? All of these factors are important, but the one decision that can give you amazing results are the tabletop edges. True View provides several different options and listed some of them below to help you to decide and when it is appropriate to use each edge style.
Below are just some of the custom table top shapes and finishes we offer. We can custom cut any shape to suit your needs.
True View’s™ Table Top Edges
Pencil Edge:
Considered the simplest edge of all the glass table top edges. It is a clean and neat edge rounded for a finished look. This edge looks great on every shape glass table top and fits in with just about any home’s décor.
Ogee Edge:
The ogee edge gives a slightly more decorative feel. It consists of a rounded edge with a small ledge on top. This small detail can add style and sophistication to your table top and gives your table a decorative flare. The ogee edge is perfect for a formal dining room as it gives off a more classy feel and is typically used in a more formal setting.
Flat Polished Edge:
The least decorative edge offered in glass table tops and is a quick and affordable way to finish off your glass top. The glass edge is cut straight down and polished clean. There is no roundness or beveling at all. A flat polished edge is ideal for a less formal setting. Patio tables are good place for this edge, as are high traffic locations in the home such as the family room coffee table.
Beveled Edge:
Because the beveled edge is so popular you probably have, or do own, a glass table with a beveled edge. Whether you are furnishing a formal dining room, a kitchen table or a coffee table, a beveled edge glass table top looks classy no matter where it is placed. Perhaps its flexibility to fit in is the reason for its wild popularity.
Wave Edge:
A wave edge is created by intricately cutting the glass in a rounded and wavy pattern, to allowing the wave edge to beautifully display the intense craftsmanship. Due to the careful cuts, the wave edge is often more expensive but is worth the cost for its beauty and is ideal for a formal dining room.
True View’s™ Custom Finishes
